The Joggers Season: Update 2

Hi fellow sweat band wearers.

You'll be pleased to know that since my last update I havegot off my fat arse and made a concerted effort to shed the truffle shuffle maker / awning over the toy shop/ beer paunch/ stomach.

I have various circuits that I do, but the most convenient one is straight out my door to "The Hill". The Hill consists of 3 stages.
1: A medium incline that stretches about a mile, which tends to sap your legs initially - you can always tell if its going to be a good run or a bad one just after about half way of this first segment.
2. A flat to gentle incline that reaches out for another 3/4s of a mile, reaching the outskirts of town on a single lane A Road to Rugby.
3. A massive quick drop onto another flat plain that makes up the rest of the run to the Pub "The Rifle Butt".

Obviously once you've got to the end you turn around and do it in reverse. Pre holiday I was pretty much getting to the top of stage one in a fat sweaty mess and thinking, "f&ck it" and wheezing back down the hill - this was bad because I'd never been like that. However, since my stupid seven mile jaunt in Norfolk, accompanied by two other shorter runs - I AM ON FIRE! I feel fitter than I have in a long time and twice this week have done "The Hill" without any ill consequences - I don't even feel stiff.

So the good news is that I'm back on track - woohoo. Now all I've got to do is trim the diet and I'll be lookin as sexy as "The Hoff" in no time.

Jog on Night rockers!

Cat
